Celina is a city located in the northeast region of the state of Texas in the United States. Specifically, it is situated in both Collin and Denton counties, about 40 miles north of downtown Dallas and about 35 miles northwest of downtown McKinney.

Celina, TX is approximately 39 miles away from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which is located between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. The drive time from Celina to DFW can vary depending on traffic conditions, but it typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get there by car.

The current Celina city property tax rate is 0.645000 per $100 valuation. Most of the rate is used to support general city operations. The other portion of the rate is used to make payments on debt that the City has issued to build roads, sidewalks and public facilities.
