As more and more homes are being built in the Celina, Prosper area one thing is for sure, these houses have style. The over all aesthetic is simple, earthy and elegant. Most of the new homes we are seeing now have a comforting feel with the use of monochromatic tones that give off a farm house/ luxurious appeal. There seems to be a change in pace as far as flooring is concerned switching from the darker wood tones that we are used to seeing to a lighter wood floor. With many people still working from home, adding wood accents and earthier tones throughout helps the residents relax and reconnect with nature. Many of the newer homes are using things like ship lap over the typical drywall, white tile back splashes, white or beige interior paint, and simple but elegant light fixtures. We are also seeing more gold accents these days as opposed to the typical silver we have seen in previous years.
As I stated above many of the model homes are using very monochromatic light colors off set with pops of soft colors. The colors we are seeing being used are varieties of sage green with dusty rose pinks, as well as many different earth tones intertwined. Rattan furniture is also very popular giving a modern nod to the 1970's. When walking into some of the model homes built by Highland Homes, or Britton Homes one has a sense of nostalgia mixed with a very modern twist. Wall paper has also made a bit of a comeback, but it's not your grandmothers wallpaper. The use of color in the wallpapers give a bold look to what would be a boring painted wall, it acts as a statement piece for the room.
